5 stars "Good "Bloody" Fun!"

Not being a fan of zombie movies, I wasn't expecting much from Zombieland. But, as soon as the movie started I knew I was going to like the it. Why you ask, well because it isn't really a zombie movie, it's a comedy that happens to have zombies.

Zombieland is a must see!

5 stars "Zombieland is a roller coaster ride of fun!"

I love braaains…and zombie movies.

The opening credit sequence is beautiful with Metallica's – For whom the bell tolls playing as zombies tear it up in slow motion, it's so epically poetic as it amps you up while dropping you right in to the madness and chaos of a world being consumed by death and destruction. Hands down one of my favorite opening credit sequences ever. Weird thing to have a “favorite of” but it really is that cool also the soundtrack is full of great artist like Van Halen and The Black Keys.

Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg – Adventureland) meets Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson – The People vs. Larry Flynt) and they eventually encounter Wichita (Emma Stone – Superbad) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin – Little Miss Sunshine) the goal is to travel west where there are fewer Zombies. Add in a theme park, a hilarious cameo and lots of dead zombies and you've got yourself one hell of a movie.

Columbus's set of rules add an interesting uniqueness to the film, Columbus manages to survive by abiding to the rules he has created. For example rule #2 Double Tap – don't get all stingy with your bullets, one more clean shot to the head and this lady could have avoided becoming a human happy meal. These rules are even visually presented in a cool way every time they pop up on screen. There are so many fun things in this film that you will definitely want to watch it over and over again.
What I love about it the most, apart from awesome zombie killing moments, is the character development. It's something that lacks in a lot of movies these days, especially in the horror genre. Zombieland is very quick to introduce each character but as the film moves along it continuously delves a little in to each character so you begin to understand where they are coming from and what their motivation is for staying alive and for making the choices they make. By the end of the film you want to be friends with these people especially if you're getting chased by zombies. They are pretty good with a shotgun when it counts. Everything about Zombieland is just great, it's not perfection but it sure is entertaining and definitely in my top 5 films of 2009.

From beginning to end Zombieland kicks-@ss like you wouldn't believe. Zombieland is an instant classic and there are already whispers of a sequel, who knows, but for now we have Zombieland, time to nut up or shut up.

9/10

4 stars "Packed with goodness"

Awesome movie! has something for everyone, comedy, action, gore and zombies. Great cast line up who pull off weird combination of comedy mixed in with zombies. Plus on blue ray see this all in excellent quality.
