Description

Is there a secret that you would kill to know?

The Prestige is a story of deception and cutthroat rivalry, an electrifying and suspensepacked thriller! Set in Victorian London at the turn-of-the century, a time when magicians are idols and celebrities of the highest order, two young but very different magicians set out to carve their own paths to fame. Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) is a consummate entertainer, flashy, sophisticated and a true showman, whilst Alfred Borden (Christian Bale) is a rough edged creative purist, who lacks the panache to showcase his tricks. As friends and partners the y provide the perfect combination but when one of their tricks goes terribly wrong with devastating consequences, friends become enemies and an escalating battle of one- up-manship begins with ever increasing perils to those around them.

4 stars "Wolverine meets Batman"

An electrifying suspense thriller that will keep you peeled to your screen. Two magicians go head to head to prove who is better, with severe and dire consequences. Take it from me, you have to watch closely…

5 stars "Best film of the year it came out..."

For myself it was upon seeing “The Prestige” that i realized Christopher Nolan was the most gifted and exciting director alive today… Two critical and comercial successes later and i knew how right i had been

this wonderfully complex period piece looks and sounds fantastic on blu ray and will make a great addition to anyones home collection…

I am always pleasantly surprised when The Prestige comes up in conversation as someones favorite film… however i now thing that this is christopher Nolan's most widely loved film

and deservedly so

"The Prestige shows the mastery of Chris Nolan"

The plot will grip you and mystify you, the characters will draw you in and the action and excitement will enthrall you.
As for the Bluray it really could have used more special features to really make it a top buy but it's well worth it nonetheless.
