Description

FOO FIGHTERS: BACK AND FORTH, the feature length Foo Fighters documentary directed by Academy Award winner James Moll (The Last Days, Running The Sahara), will soon be available to anyone who couldn't score a ticket to its theatrical premiere or missed its broadcast debut. The DVD and BluRay features 35 minutes of extras including additional interviews and deleted scenes.    Produced by Exclusive Media Group¹s documentary division Spitfire Pictures and co-produced and co-financed by Exclusive Media Group and RCA Records, FOO FIGHTERS: BACK AND FORTH is an incredibly intimate and comprehensive portrait of Foo Fighters. From Dave Grohl's cassette demos that became Foo Fighters' self-titled 1995 debut to the new worldwide #1 album Wasting Light, FOO FIGHTERS: BACK AND FORTH chronicles every triumph and tragedy along the band's path to becoming one of the biggest and most loved bands on the planet.

In-depth interviews with Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear take the viewer through the making of the double-platinum The Colour & The Shape, the back to back Best Rock Album Grammy winners There Is Nothing Left To Lose and One By One, the double album opus In Your Honor, the multiple Grammy winning Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, a record-breaking 170,000-plus-attended two-night headline at Wembley Stadium, and the Foos' subsequent return to Grohl's garage for the analog-only sessions with producer Butch Vig that yielded Wasting Light.

With all that and breathtaking performance footage to spare, FOO FIGHTERS: BACK AND FORTH is essential viewing not just for Foo fans, but for anyone who's ever wondered what makes a rock band great--and what makes a great band persevere.

5 stars "Unexpectedly great!"

I watched this when it was on TV3 over Easter.
I have never been a huge fan of FF, but this really hooked me in.
The new album has some great tunes, and great guests on it (Bob Mould, Krist Novelcevic etc) and watching the recording process was interesting, as was the trials and tribulations of the band over the years.
