Full 1080p and DTS master audio make this worth getting plus an extended Pegasus episode only on blu ray, and a ton of special features. Well worth its price.

Battlestar Galatica is the story of a civilisation named Kobal, destroyed by humanity’s deadliest enemies - the Cylons. All that is left is a ragtag fleet of battleships holding a group of human survivors and it is Commander William Adama, (the highest-ranking military officer left alive) who leads the main ship, the Battlestar Galactica.
In series two, fans see the story develop even further. After a succession of devastating attacks by the Cylons (series one), the surviving colonies are forced to flee, in search of a mythical 13th Colony of Kobol … a legendary planet known as Earth. The DVD includes episodes that follow the Battlestar Galactica’s adventures, as they try to avoid the Cylons and attempt to locate Earth.

Personally, I'm not a Sci-Fi fan, however BSG has something for everyone and is an extremely intelligent and well written script drawing from many sources of literature. The acting is also outstanding and surprised to see our Lucy Lawless show up.
I highly recommend this, even if you aren't a Sci-Fi fan…
