"Unexpectedly Good"
Sometimes an alien style movie just works. It's safe to say that Skyline was not that movie – but the under hyped Battle: LA definitely is.
There's nothing surprising about this movie – bugs invade, dudes get shot, it's a hard fight, good conquers all. It's just that it's a surprisingly fun ride, delivered with a credible effects team both with visual and audio aplomb.

This is a very enjoyable film. I am a huge fan of Apocalyptic/Post-Apocalyptic films like ‘The Road’, ‘The Mist’,''Signs'. However, this is not one of those films. It does not really feel like the end of the world, but it is a great movie to just chill out.
I give it a 3 stars because it is not one of those Drama/Apocalypse films that grasps your attention, but it is more like a Black Hawk Down (the only difference being the enemies are ALIENS!!!!)
