Prometheus Blu-ray 3D

Prometheus' original screenplay was entitled Alien-Engineers. After reading it online, they have changed a lot of things. This was expected as it was a draft, but I feel they could've included some things which were removed to (what I felt) appeal to an audience with less patience. The screenplay intended this movie to be more explanitory of its deep philosophical aspects, but would have turned the movie into more of a 4 hour masterpiece. But thats not to say this 2 hour film isn't. I look forward to the second Prometheus, which should include things missed out, like the giants in the bible, and Weyland's wheel :D

I have always loved the Alien series and when I heard Ridley Scott was going to revisit the universe he created, I was extremely happy.
When I saw it at the theatre, it exceeded my expectations as a piece of cinema. Scott has taken the foundation he built 30 years ago (and that other directors have expanded on) and built a brand new world, one we haven't really seen before. There are things we can recognise here and there, but there is always something lurking in the shadows that makes us feel very uncomfortable. The only negative I came away with was that some of the plot elements were not that well thought through.

The Blu Ray is outstanding, but much like the film, it has its problems. The video quality is amazing, some of the best I have seen, as is the audio quality. Overall the package is so well put together, the special features bring so much to the enjoyment of the film. But, the much promoted Second Screen App does not seem to work very well at all and, even if it did work properly, it is not available on the 3D version of the film– Do Blu Ray producers not realise that most of the people who she'll out the extra cash for a 3D TV will want to experience all the features on their discs- Anyway, that's enough of my rant, I do highly recommend this set, it is outstanding and the film itself is stunning. The 3D is some of the best I have seen and I can't wait to see we're Scott (or whoever continues the series) goes from here.

A must buy!

i saw this movie twice in 3D and i have to say,there could be no alien series without prometheus.to see it on the big screen was really awesome.the special effects were out of this world and as usual there is another nasty android.if ur a sci-fi fan then this movie is for u.im gonna rate this 10/10…cant wait for my own copy…

Prometheus is one of the few movies that used 3D cameras to make the 3D. Not only focused on its 3D, there is an awesome storyline as well. If you do watch this film, WATCH IT IN 3D!!!!
