WeMo is a family of simple, ingenious Home Automation products that allow you to control your home electronics from anywhere.

The Belkin WeMo Switch and WeMo Motion Sensor Kit gives you wireless control of your home appliances and electronics, turning devices of your choice on or off as soon as movement is detected. The sensor plugs into an outlet and detects motion up to 10 feet away. It then sends a wireless signal to the WeMo Switch to turn the connected device either on or off. Download the free WeMo app to any Apple device (iOS 5 or higher) to program a light to turn on when you walk into the house or a fan to turn off when you leave.

The switch also operates over mobile Internet, which means you can control home devices from anywhere you have an Internet connection.

The free WeMo app makes it easy to set schedules for appliances and electronics in your home. Use your iPhone or iPad to program a lamp to turn on or off at a certain time of day.

The WeMo kit is completely modular, allowing you to control as much or as little of your house as you like. You can add an additional WeMo Switch to provide control of more areas of your home. Additionally, multiple switches can be linked to one sensor–turn on a light and heater or a set of lights at the same time with only one sensor.
