This is a brilliant game and if you love hack and slash type games, you MUST get this game! The game-play is brilliant and reviews don't do it justice so I'll make it short and simple.

BUY IT and ENJOY IT!

Did you like Devil May Cry? This is similar. Regardless, this game is excellent – I personally wasn't overly fond of DMC, but this really hits the spot.

Great graphics, characters, sound and humour throughout. Long loading times plague the initial release, but a patch allowing installs to the hard drive reduces these.

Action is fast paced and smooth flowing. There are a few weapons – the katana and ice skates make for an awesome melee fighter.

After finishing the game on one difficulty you can start a new game with everything you unlocked at the next difficulty up (Very Easy > Easy etc).

Bosses are epic with timed sequences for finishers. Overall and excellent action game which is well worth a few playthroughs due to the new game +.

This game is great and original. The Charachters, story, graphics, music are great. There is some great humour through out the game as well. The controls are easy to pick up, battles fast and furious and her moves look cool. The bosses are big and mean but still easy enough to handle. The only thing I must say that was a little bit of a let down was that there werent to many other weapons to choose from. Still the out of the ones I unlocked I only used 1 of and that was the claws. Her initial guns are just as useful as of the other weapons if not more. The claws had great power but were more of a close range weapon, so for longer ranged battles I stuck with her inital guns.

Over all Bayonetta was great fun to play and she is sexy as hell ^_^ Buy it

If you've enjoyed playing anything in the Devil May Cry series give this a shot. The control system is sound, which is important since things can get pretty hectic during large battles. The action focuses on maintaining a combo of attacks against your enemies while avoiding being hit, which will break your combo and deprive you of hard-earned rewards. A variety of earnable techniques and weapons allows you to get creative with your play style, and abilities like dodge offset (which allows you to maintain a combo even while dodging) mean that even the toughest battles tend to be much more fun than frustrating. If you've been turned off by the difficulty (too high or too low) of similar action/RPG/fighting games of this type, then you'll be pleased to know that there are difficulty settings to cater to almost any level of skill and/or masochism. Not a flawless game by any means, but a hell of a lot of fun, with unexpectedly good replayability.

Haven't finished this one yet, but it's a lot of fun. However, it truly is one of the strangest games I've ever played. The plot is kind of hard to follow, and the Magic etc that can be used is just plain bizarre.

One of the most entertaining games I've played in a while. The story is over the top, however it suits the crazy fast paced action. Definitely worth a go!

Epic Game , Great price , Fantastic Delivery Time

Am an adult gamer, been playing games on all formats long before you guys were around.
This game truly blew me away!!! Found controls intuitive, & now on my third time through. Its great creating different combinations of controls just to see what results one can inflict on your hapless victims.
It is just so different & originaI! I rate this up there with the best. A must have. The Hype does not do this game justice, just get it!!!

Imagine Devil May Cry only instead of Dante, you have a witty and sexy witch. This game is amazing, love the graphics and gameplay. Hack and slash with a wide range of combos that look really awesome when executed and Torture Attacks make battles much more entertaining. The only flaw is the load time, it takes quite awhile but in most parts of the game you are able to practice combos during loading so that makes up for it. If you're a fan of the Devil May Cry series then definitely give this a try, or even if you're looking for a game that's enterta­ining, has beautiful graphics and some eye candy!

This game starts off a bit slow but its fun as you go…It positively surprised me. On viewing it at first it doesn't look worth much time…but im glad I bought it…I hope there's a part 2 coming soon…worth $50–60…and with mighty apes prices its a huge bargain.

Good for those who haven't played games like Devil May Cry, God of war and Dante's inferno. But not the best introduction to the genre.

Bayonetta was an entertaining yet disappointing game. It has a similar game style to Devil May Cry, God of war and Dante's inferno with shooting, punching, kicking at the heart of combat. Odds are if your looking at this game you may already know what you are getting into so I wont tell you all the details instead I will move straight onto what I did and didn't work in this rendition of the 3rd person action game.

Each stage is separated into chapters which are graded on there completion. Awarding players for quick resolution of battles and for the amount of combo points accumulated. This gives Bayonetta a limited re playability, giving only the most die hard of gamers an incentive to get a pure Platinum medal on these sections but ultimately the lack of any multi-player makes the time put into this game a bit of a waste for those competitive gamers.

During each stage you collect rings dubbed halos which can be cashed in for various items, weapon and move upgrades at the local ‘Hell’ store. Sometimes you encounter mini game sequences although they don't add to the game and can be quite frustrating on harder difficulties.

Something that made me groan every time I saw it was the cut scenes that randomly decided not to be animated. They are still shots of the game with the physics turned on so you had a 10 frame cycle of hair or scarf movement jerking around and clipping distractingly while the main characters tried to make sense of the weak story.

I must admit the combat flows well with a limited number of buttons to press to pull of advanced combos. Most of the combos are down to the timing pausing between punches and kicks in the right places to execute different moves. Latter you gain the ability to dodge mid combo and then continue the last phases of the move. Dodging at the last moment will trigger witch time, slowing down the surrounding world and allowing you to walk on water, get past fast moving traps or execute slow powerful moves on unsuspecting enemies. This makes for really tight well flowing combat system which makes up for some of the bad parts of the game.

For reasons unknown I kinda liked the main character. At every point the game tries to make you ogle Bayonettas disproportionate body, but for me It just made me laugh every time the camera zoomed in for a ‘money shot’.

I didn't have high hopes for this game but I kinda felt disappointed anyway. If you haven't played a one of these games before it might keep you entertained for long enough to make and addict out of you, but it doesn't really break any molds.

Three and a half stars really but it gets three.

Bayonetta is quirky, sexy and fun!

Games like Devil May Cry 4 and Heavenly Sword have nothing on this game. The humor is what sets it apart. What other game lets you pull off a combo and then pose for a photo!

Bayonetta's clothes get ripped so what better opportunity than to fly into the air and have a costume change!

Everything about this game is fresh and witty. Sequel please!
