Author Biography

Louis DiCarro spent his childhood disassembling most of his toys to find out how they work much to his parents' dismay. Now an adult, he still finds plenty of things to take apart, but also likes to create things. A product of the Star Wars generation, he has released his inner geek and has set his sights on building robots. The availability of the Arduino has given him the chance to get into microcontrollers and build projects. A web developer and designer by trade for over 15 years, he also finds time to work on many side projects, including former host of the MacKaos radio show, teaching technology at several colleges and writing for magazines. Amongst his various projects, he is working on starting a hacker space in southern Connecticut.
