Sarang Bang Records is proud to release Anti Borneo Magic, the fourth album from Auckland instrumental quartet, Salon Kingsadore.
Spanning three luxurious disks Anti-Borneo Magic follows Salon Kingsadore’s critically acclaimed releases Salon Kingsadore (2004), Hotel Azteca (2006) and Mountain Rescue (2010). Their most psychedelic release to date, Anti-Borneo Magic features the latest spontaneous, cinematic compositions of the instrumental group. Influenced by their keyboardist of the past two years, the late Murray McNabb, an improvisational approach has been adopted for this collection to otherworldly effect. Made up of two albums of tracks and a selected highlights package, Anti-Borneo Magic provides a considerable body of music to explore. Aimed primarily for film & television use, the third disk stands on its own as an instrumental pop release. But in this capacity it also acts as introductory sampler to the Anti-Borneo Magic experience for the interested, yet time-constrained listener.
Salon Kingsadore recommend the best way to enjoy Anti- Borneo Magic is to purchase two copies of the album, stack six disks into the multi-disk unit of the nearest station wagon then press random. With influences as diverse as surf guitar, jazz, African Psychedelia and European cinema, something will be uncovered by all adventurous music lovers in this exotic release.
