This is a great monitor, the best in it's price range. Ghosting issues have been fixed in the newer models of the VE247H. It's a perfect monitor for gaming due to no ghosting and excellent response times. It contains all the necessary ports
Of course, like all monitors the cord is borderline to short (but long enough) and the speakers could be better so you'll want to use a headset or buy some $50 speakers if you plan on gaming or watching movies.
All in all, an excellent monitor for under $400!
"Great Monitor"
Great monitor for PC or console gaming (i use it for my PS3 at the moment). Always recommend PC monitors for console gaming, because games look and perform better on it, as aposed to TV's which alter the visuals/image using processing effects which are only suited for movies and TV shows. This processing also slows down the speed of which the TV screen receives the image, which is a disadvantage to gaming.

I have owned about 4 Monitors all within this price range, and of the four this was my favorite. It has been reliable, sturdily constructed, even when it fell over after an earthquake.
It turns on quickly, has many presets for specific uses e.g. Gaming, Night-Mode, High Brightness etc.
One thing that annoyed slightly was the position of the plugs for various cables as they were quite high up the back of the monitor, making it difficult to connect things quickly, like a laptop that would frequently be coming on and off the monitor.
Overall, very good. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a larger monitor, or an upgrade from a store-bought desktop PC.
