A new year means a new look for one of our favourite Gorilla
Rigs, and as much as we loved the Razorback
look with the Raidmax Viper GX Mid Tower, science tells us that it's always
important to evolve.
We're sure many of you are already familiar with the NZXT
H440 Mid Tower , since we've featured it in such builds as the Mighty
Kong and our recent Christmas Gorilla Rig.
This sleek and minimal chassis is a bit of a departure from the typically
aggressive and angular look we love in our Razorback, but figured a
sophisticated look on the outside doesn't mean it can't be a savage animal on
the inside.

24 Days of
Christmas is well underway and it's time for the technical elves to start
building our very special Christmas Gaming Rig!
It's going to be a White Christmas right here in NZ even more so for one
lucky monkey thanks to our friends at NZXT!
That's right, starting our build off is the gorgeous white NZXT
H440 Chassis. This stunning computer case sky-rocketed in
popularity to take the top selling mid tower type (it comes in black, green, red
and blue as well) at Mighty Ape shortly after its release earlier in the year
and it's pretty easy to see why!
The H440 features a doorless front panel made entirely of steel while a
large, full-view window reveals an interior specially engineered to make any
build seamless and beautiful. A stylish cover helps conceal cables from the
power supply and smart design helps builders create a top system with either air
or water cooling.

We're sure by now you all know how much we love NZXT cases. What we don't
talk much about however, is their awesome cooling solutions – like the NZXT
Kraken X31 Liquid Cooler.
One of the first consumer closed loop coolers with an integrated variable
speed pump, the Kraken X31 gives you all the cooling of the pros without a
complicated installation process.
A simple 120mm fan makes this compatible with almost every case, giving you
awesome cooling no matter how small your rig.
Best of all, the NZXT CAM software suite gives you control over your fans
from anywhere in the world. Keep an eye on how things are running if you've left
a complicated job going overnight!

The Mighty
Kong is back, more powerful than ever before and is making a
victorious return to our Gorilla Rigs range with the HOTTEST HARDWARE IN
THE WORLD TODAY!!!
You might think that's a bold claim to make, but once you take a look under
the hood, you'll see exactly why we can boast such a thing…
We'll be the first to admit we may have gone a little over overboard, but
when you look at all the that tech, we bet you'll find a goofy grin on your
face. We'd know, it's been on ours since the parts for our Mighty Kong
arrived!

NZXT are
typically known for their super aggressive chassis with fins and vents and
extravagantly bright color schemes. This design strategy they have employed has
netted them a solid customer base of Custom Riggers putting high powered gaming
machines in their chassis.
Safe to say, not everyone is after a super loud and aggressive aesthetic when
designing a rig. Myself included. The NZXT H440
answered a lot of my prayers.
The H440
is only a mid tower case but it has the space inside to house 2 x
triple 120mm radiators. One in the front and one in the top of the
case. As far as I am aware. There are no other mid tower cases that can house
this much radiator out of the box…
Insanity…
Why so much radiator space? I hear you asking. The goal here is to build a
high powered gaming machine, that operates at nearly no noise at all. This can
only be achieved by having a lot of radiator surface area and fans spinning at
low speeds to hide the acoustic hum.
The case also uses super dense foam on both side panels and the front panel
of the case to absorb more sound given off by the system.

We recently got the chance to play with the NZXT
410 Chassis and while building the rig we came across an excellent
feature.
The inside of the chassis has an adjustable fan mount where you can install a
120mm or 140mm case fan.
This coupled with the large 200mm intake fan in the front of the case, had
fresh cool air being blown directly into the intake on your GPU.
All the fans also went directly into the very handy fan hub bolted to the
back of the motherboard tray and this was connected to a single sliding fan
controller at the top of the chassis.

Mighty Ape is finally getting NZXT!
These long awaited eye catching cases are on the way and our NZXT store
is now open for business.
The company has been well known for designing some of the most eye catching
cases on the market. Vibrant reds, whites and black litter their range. Not only
that, the actual chassis has aggressive, bold lines that scream power from a
mile away.
Not only are these cases amazing to look at, they are extremely
functional.
