This card has metaphorically lit a fire under the GPU market.
The hot, hot, hot entry price of the R9 290X
has NVIDIA fans second guessing upcoming purchases, and the comprehensive
benchmarks that have been popping up all around the place have been testament to
the cards performance.
In nearly all instances the card trumped NVIDIA's GTX780. And that is still
with the current drivers in beta. We are very excited to see how games
optimize themselves against the new AMD tech.

The eve of Battlefield

This update, dubbed R331, is more than just the typical

decent frame rates in Battlefield

EA have launched a teaser site and video for the upcoming Battlefield
4. The site features a cool rain on window pane effect – you can
wipe the window using your mouse to get a brief glimpse at the action on the
other side of the window. Swing by and check out the teaser site here.
A brief video has also been released which seems to suggest that sea battle
will be a much bigger part of the new game.
