Last night the monkeys from Mighty Ape attended the 2012 ESET NetGuide Web Awards at the Hilton. The event was hosted by comedian Steve Wrigley who kept the crowd in fits of laughter while announcing the successful award winners.
We are happy to announce that we had our most successful night at the NetGuide Web Awards yet, and came away with the following awards:
- Best Site for Gamers
- Best Social Networking Page
- Best Shopping Site
- Overall Best Site
Our aim was to retain the title of Best Shopping Site but we far surpassed that by taking out the award for Overall Best Site. The awards are voted for by the public, there were apparently over 225,000 votes this year, so it is truly humbling to know that a significant number of those votes went to Mighty Ape. Thank you so much for your support!
We were also very stoked to come away with the award for Best Social
Networking Page for the Mighty
Ape Facebook page. We put a lot of effort into our social media, so it is
great to be recognised for that. It's also of particular significance because
we went up against the All Blacks (they were a finalist) and won!
There are not many teams that can say that :P
We all had a great night last night, and we have another busy weekend ahead as we complete the move to our new (and bigger!) warehouse in Albany. We'll be celebrating our wins with cake next week when we're done. We look forward to a busy Christmas and New Year, and continuing to deliver the top notch service that makes you want to vote for us in the NetGuide Web Awards! :D
