WINNER ANNOUNCED

Thank you for all your comments both here and on the Mighty Ape Books Facebook page. The winner this time was Benedict over on the Facebook page :)

Many thanks for all the book recommendations (Keep them coming!). I thought I would offer an endorsement of my own in the form of Andy Weir’s The Martian.

“Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first men to walk on the surface of Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first man to die there.”

The Martian is about mathematics, science and sarcasm conquering incredible odds. I offer my personal guarantee that this will be a blockbuster movie in no time. It's a tense, fun, quick read.

I am giving away one signed and numbered hardback copy that I wish was mine :)

All you have to do is let me know what book you would want by your side if you were stranded like Watney! Leave your choice in the comments below. I'll pick a winner September 22nd.

If you are not the lucky winner I thoroughly recommend grabbing a copy.

Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein. First read it in my early teens and enjoyed it so much I have reread it many times since. Careful about your desire for a movie adaption, the Starship Troopers movie was so far removed from the book that it broke my heart a little.
