Top 5 Albums Releasing This Week!

Check out our top new albums for this week, releasing on the 19th of September!

1. The Script: No Sound Without Silence – Multi-platinum Dublin rockers The Script will be releasing their much anticipated 4th studio effort called ‘No Sound Without Silence’. “This album is all about trying to bottle that energy when we come off stage” says front-man, singer/songwriter Danny O Donoghue.The Script – Danny O'Donoghue, Mark Sheehan, and Glen Plower have been called “Ireland's biggest band since U2”

The album's first single “Superheroes” which impacted radio during the last week of July, has an early radio audience of 4.4 million people already! Other songs on their new album include “No Good In Goodbye,” “The Energy Never Dies,” and “Man On A Wire,” among others.

2. Chris Brown: X (Deluxe Edition) – Grammy Award winning and multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter Chris Brown is back with his sixth studio album titled ‘X’.

The album features Chris teaming up with some of today’s hottest artists in R&B, Hip-Hop and Pop such as Usher, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Tyga and more.

‘X’ is the follow up to his 2012 chart-topping album ‘Fortune’ that was a #1 NZ Top 40 album and earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album.

3. alt J: This Is All Yours – ‘This Is All Yours’ is the massively anticipated second album to be released by alt-J. ‘This Is All Yours’ features lush music of cinematic scope, indelible melodies and Joe Newman’s inimitable and instantly recognisable vocals. alt-J released their debut album, the Platinum-selling ‘An Awesome Wave’, to world-wide critical acclaim in 2012, winning countless awards, notably the prestigious Mercury Music Prize.

4. The Pineapple Thief: Magnolia – Anthemic, catchy and straight from the heart, Magnolia represents the ultimate culmination of songwriter and guitarist Bruce Soord’s ongoing quest to expand their musical horizons beyond the progressive sphere. With a sound more akin to Biffy Clyro and Muse, Magnolia has all the potential to bring The Pineapple Thief to the masses, having created a devastating collection of 12 beautifully crafted songs, cramming a vast array of emotional shades and inspirational ideas into its 47 mesmerising minutes. 5. David Bowie: Sound + Vision – The Sound + Vision 4 CD boxset covers David Bowie's career from 1969 to 1994 starting with the acoustic demo version of his first hit, Space Oddity to the return to his Bromley roots for the soundtrack to Hanif Kureishi's The Buddha Of Suburbia which is often cited as the most underrated piece in the Bowie canon.

Sound + Vision is a collection spanning four decades, covering the 21 albums. It's a rich survey of David Bowie's many musical lives offering a generous helping of hits, an intriguing dip into archives, classic album tracks and long lost B-sides, explosive live recordings, soundtrack recordings and remixes.
